Piled high on her raven-hued pixie, she's sporting some serious vivid blue and platinum streaks, teased wildly — mohawk style. Her sassy and bold locks are complemented by her two-toned eye makeup. Check out the way she used navy liner on the bottom and taupe-y beige accents on the top. With all of that going down, she keeps her lips a light glossy nude. For Rihanna, it's all about bringing the focus upward — seriously check out her dramatic hair and eyes. Always one take a risk, the songstress pumps up the volume with a very fresh asymmetrical pompadour. Her darkly lined eyes and multi-brown shadows complete the look. I especially appreciate the ombre effect of her eye shadows, it elongates her eyes and, once again, brings the attention upward. Leave it to Rihanna, the queen bee of nail polish, to take an opaque, shimmery metallic color to the next level. Chrome is more of a powerful gold-and-silver version of its true silver sister gunmetal and it is also much darker than pale gray.

I still can't quite believe that metallic nails are still this much of a sensation. Even LC can't get enough of glittery metallic nails! Below are a couple of rocker-cool chrome polish suggestions for Summer. Enjoy!

Essie Steel-ing the Scene ($8) is a bronzey-pewter (effectively a chrome) shade of nail polish that contains flecks and packs a lot of punch. For those of you who are too shy to wear this on your nails, it makes for a great toenail color.

Since so many of you loved Rihanna's look at the latest Chanel fashion show, I have some tips for recreating it at home.

Face: Rihanna is wearing a medium-coverage foundation, most likely because she needs full coverage when her picture is taken. If you'd like similar coverage, Clinique Stay-True Oil-Free Foundation will do the trick. But if you prefer a little lighter coverage, try a tinted moisturizer such as this one from Laura Mercier. Finish up by dabbing a skin-brightening concealer such as Tarte Rest Assured Brightening Wand under the eyes, around the nose, and at the corners of your mouth.

Ah, I have a feeling you'll have strong opinions on Rihanna's hair and makeup here. The wavy hair is cool... but it's in the middle of her face. The eyeliner concept is cool... but it ends at the midpoint of her eyelids. The nude lip is cool... but it's almost too nude. Honestly, Rihanna is pretty adorable no matter what she does, but I can't say this is my favorite-ever look for her. What's your opinion?Source
