Coming Soon: Britney Spears Hidden Fantasy

Don't call it a comeback: Fresh on the heels of the launch of Britney Spears' Believe fragrance comes word of yet another—Hidden Fantasy, which will be in stores in January. According to the perfumer, Rodrigo Flores-Roux, “The original inspiration for this fragrance comes from Britney’s love for white florals, vanilla, and luscious desserts. Drawing from a cherished memory of my own, I built this fragrance with a heart of sensual jasmine and sweet Napolitano cake.”

Indeed, Hidden Fantasy ($55 for 3.3 oz) is a very saccharine scent, with discernible notes of Mexican vanilla bean, orange and clove. If you like the singer's other fragrances, you'll probably appreciate that it smells a little more grown-up than her previous scents. Which is not to say it's sophisticated by any means, but a true Britney fan will not be disappointed.

Coming Soon: Trina Turk For Clinique

Since many of you love gift-with-purchase offers, you might be excited about this one: Trina Turk has teamed up with Clinique to design a chic cosmetics bag. Available at Nordstrom from November 5 to November 22, the metallic tiger-print bag comes stocked with a good selection of beauty treats: a cleanser, face cream, mini eye shadow and blush palette, lip gloss, mascara, lipstick and mirrored lipstick case.

The kit is free with a $25 purchase, and the items inside are actually things you'd want. Fab praised the lip color without being prodded to do so, and when she finds out about the designer tie-in, I'll have to hide my bag from her. Besides, she can get her own in just over a week.

Coming Soon: Ungaro Meets MAC

After last year's collaboration with Alexander McQueen, MAC is getting fashionable yet again. This time, the brand is working with Emanuel Ungaro, the fashion house headed by 24-year-old designer Esteban Cortazar, on a 14-piece makeup collection inspired by the Fall 2008 runway look.

For the show, lead makeup artist Sharon Dowsett created the look with a painter in mind. "Like Monet’s Water Lilies, it looks better the farther back you stand," she said. Available Oct. 9, the collection is a more earthy interpretation of the house's signature hot pink shades, using muted pink and nude tones to create a naturally flushed. (Blue eyeliner and adds a little bit of an edge; it is fashion, after all.)

Bliss Gets a Cookie for Its New Foodie Fragrance

OK, can we talk about how cute this cookie is? Last night, Bliss launched its new scent, Blood Orange and White Pepper, and had these twee sweets to celebrate. But that wasn't the only crowd-pleaser. Earlier this year, Bliss held an "eau-lection" in which people chose among three fragrances to decide which one would make it to market. Forty thousand votes later, the blood orange and white pepper fragrance scored the big win.

After you smell it, you'll know why: This cocktail-inspired scent is a warm burst of citrus all wrapped up in body-butter goodness. Although it's a bit tangy for the first few seconds, it quickly develops into a light, realistically orange-y aroma with a slight hint of spice. It's neither "masculine" nor "feminine," just clean and fresh — but any man who smelled like this would instantly be Gosling-hot to me. The new scent is available as an amazingly hydrating body butter ($35), sugar scrub ($36), and shower gel ($24). So while you can't get it in snack form, you can check everything else out next week.

Brad Pitt Wants To Shower With You

Humina humina! As if it weren't enough to get close to Brad Pitt's lips, now he'd like to take a shower with you. Well, kind of. He's teaming up with Kiehl's to launch a new product, Kiehl's Aloe Vera Biodegradable Liquid Body Cleanser ($16.50). The body wash is free of parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, and dyes — and it's packaged in 100% recycled plastic.

But here's the twist: Brad isn't appearing in any ads, and Kiehl's isn't making a bundle of cash from this deal. Instead, 100 percent of profits will go to JPF Eco Systems, a green charity that Brad created with Kiehl's. WWD estimates that more than $1 million will go to support various ecologically friendly projects, beginning with Make It Right, the post-Katrina charity that helps build green homes in New Orleans. Brad's hands are all over the project, including the label that features his own handwriting.

It's nice to know that Brad's thinking of all of us when we're naked in the shower, isn't it? And it's even better to know that when the cleanser comes out in October, we'll all be able to return the favor while doing good.

Coming Soon: Giorgio Armani Lip Wax

We've already had a sneak peek at the Fall 2008 Python Collection from Giorgio Armani Beauty, but get ready for Lip Wax ($26) this September. These six highly pigmented lip colors are intended to be applied with your fingers. They can be worn on your cheeks and lips and have a matte finish. Really, the best way to describe them is as a designer stain.

They come packaged in sleek, black circular compacts with a mirror on the top and the product on the bottom, but the most notable feature is the texture. Wax can be slimy and oily, but this is dry, smooth, and elegant. It feels velvety on your lips and it's virtually weightless. Instead of having the heavy feeling of lipstick, think of it more like a second skin.

Coming Soon: La Mer Hydrating Infusion

La lovely La Mer is getting ready to release a brand-new skin care genre for Fall 2008. This September, the brand introduces Hydrating Infusion ($95), a prepping base (think of it as using double the lotion) that wets the skin and locks in moisture so that you can fully receive even more of the moisture benefits from Crème de la Mer.

I know what you're thinking — are they serious with this? Why is this even necessary? I thought the same thing until I read an interview with Paul Tchinnis, the Director of R and D for La Mer, and he makes a strong case. He explains that:

"There are two ways to hydrate and moisturize the skin. One is to trap the moisture that already exists in your skin, and the other is to add moisture to your skin through creams. Some consumers want even more moisture. You can’t just apply double the amount because your skin can only absorb so much. So, part of the reason we’ve invented Infusion is to approach moisture using a different delivery system."

I'm all for having a fresh looking, well hydrated face, but I don't suffer from super-dry skin to the point where I need twice the amount of moisturizer. However, I have tried "The Infusion" and it's not something I'd totally turn my back on, either. It has a silky texture (thicker than water, thinner than a gel) and when used under Crème de la Mer, it creates a heavenly, rich and dewy effect. I love it for nighttime, but for day, it makes me look a bit oily.

Nars Welcomes You to the Jungle With a Box Set

When you hear the phrase "Welcome to the Jungle," don't you think of the Guns N' Roses song? Not so with Nars. The brand's new three-piece red lipstick, nail polish and lip liner collection was inspired by the old Hollywood glamour from the movie, The Women, a deliciously catty 1939 film starring Joan Crawford, Norma Shearer and Rosalind Russell (to name a few).

The Jungle Red Box Set ($55) will be exclusively available in Saks Fifth Avenue stores on September 12 to coincide with the movie release. The new version features Debra Messing, Annette Bening, Meg Ryan, Jada Pinkett Smith, Eva Mendes, Candice Bergen (and more). It's rare that Hollywood takes a "chance" by releasing a film with a lady-dominated cast, and I can't wait to see it.

I'm petrified by snakes, but I may put my phobia aside, just this once. In September, Giorgio Armani Beauty is launching a collection called Python. The concept behind the look is a strong, bold smoky eye. The star product is the Python Palette ($100), which contains three eye shadows (gray taupe, dark iridescent gray, and luminous gray pearl) and two new lip shades (deep red and mauve) that help create a dark and sexy makeup look.

Emanuel Ungaro is quite the busy fashion house these days. Along with releasing a limited-edition makeup collection with MAC later this year, it's about to release two scents: U by Ungaro For Him and U by Ungaro For Her.

I've tried U by Ungaro for Her, and I really like the sweet, floral and slightly spicy aroma. It has a fresh and crisp essence that makes it great for daytime, but it's not subtle — so you should be prepared for a few heads to turn as you work a room. For those of you who are curious about all of the fragrance notes, it contains a blend of blonde woods, bergamot, freesia, pepper blossom, acacia aura, lotus flower, osmanthus, oris, sandalwood and musk.

Doing Drugstore: Jergens Naturals Daily Moisturizers

2008 seems to be the year of the "green"-themed beauty products, and I couldn't be happier. The latest launch: a collection of four new body lotions called Jergens Naturals Daily Moisturizers ($8.49). What makes them stand out from the brand's other products is that they are made from 92–93 percent plant-derived ingredients.

I don't know about you, but there's something that just makes me feel better knowing that the ingredients are made from good-for-you vegetables. I've tried all four lotions: Hydrate, Renew, Soothe, and Refresh and find that although they all have a similar, subtle and clean, botanical scent, Refresh is my favorite. It's probably because it contains white tea and crisp mint (two ingredients I'm gaga over). The texture is equally appealing; it isn't greasy, and it left my skin feeling soft, smooth, and touched with a little bit of sheen.

Josh Hartnett is hot, hot, hot — and apparently I'm not the only one who thinks so. He's just finished shooting the ad campaign as the face of Armani's new fragrance, Emporio Armani Diamonds For Men. (If you recall, Beyonce Knowles was the face for the women's version of the fragrance, and it sold incredibly well.)

The sparkling, woody scent is blended with notes of citrus-bergamot accord, szechuan pepper, cocoa bean, cedar, gaiac wood vetiver, and ambroxan. The fragrance will be available in three eau de toilette sizes ($37.50–$62.50) online and at Saks, Bloomingdale's and Macy's this September. I can't wait to check it out — and my fingers are crossed for some Hottnett in-store appearances.

Coming Soon: Summer 2008 Nouveau Boho From Becca

At first I thought it was a little strange that Becca was so late in the game to be launching its Summer products now, but I was willing to overlook it because when they do finally decide to crank out new goodies, it's always worth the wait. However, it hit me just a few moments ago that the brand is Australian, and so it all makes sense why the model is wearing a knit hat — their Winter is our Summer!

In two weeks, get ready to check out two brand-new products: a shimmery golden-bronze powder eye shadow called Damask ($24) and a creamy champagne-pink blush called Freesia ($30). Similarly to Flirt! Cosmetics and American Beauty, Becca has created a really pretty, easy-to-achieve look.

The 2008 Nouveau Boho collection has an earthy feel with a modern edge. Brand-new from Fresh is a summertime eau de parfum called Strawberry Flowers ($38). It launched this past week in the UK and will be exclusive at Sephora come September.

This fruity, floral and sparkling scent is sure to please your sense of smell. It was created by Lev Glazman (co-founder of Fresh), and was inspired by the memories of a perfect Spring morning. It has a true citrus spirit and is made from mandarin, strawberries, freesia, osmanthus, orris, yuzu, white peach, musk, woods and orange blossom.

I tried it for the first time last night and fell instantly in love with the fresh, lush aroma. It is significantly sweeter than Cannabis Rose, but not quite as sugary as Sugar Lemon. Ahh finally, the perfect, happy medium that you can add to your mix of favorite strawberry beauty products.

Due out this August is a brand-new, sexy and smooth lipstick from Lancôme called L'Absolu Rouge ($29). This unbelievably hydrating formula contains Pro-XylaneTM, an award-winning molecule that is typically found in skincare products to help seal in moisture. The consistency is silky and glossy without leaving behind any stickiness or tackiness. It also contains vitamin E for added moisture and SPF 12 sunscreen for protection. The result is rich color atop luscious, soft, and conditioned lips.

The packaging is sleek, black, and pays homage to a 1957 lipstick that was originally created by Lancôme founder Arman Petijean. Coming Soon: Darphin's Designer Zit-Zapping Duo

Due in stores this fall are two new sebum-controlling skin-care products from Darphin called Purifying Targeted Gel ($50) and Overnight Refining Lotion ($50).

The clear, fast-drying gel can be applied to the affected area as often as necessary. The lotion acts as an astringent to kill bacteria and reduce oil production and shine, especially to your t-zone —all without drying out your face like so many other spot treatments are prone to do.

The products contain essential oils, which are blended together with salicylic acid, lemon, Vitamin C, and isolutrol (a balancing agent) to help purify the skin, control sebum production, stimulate skin renewal, soothe, irritated skin and reduce the look of large pores. The treatments are gentle enough not to irritate the skin, yet are strong enough to fight off persistent pimples. And did I mention how great the smell is?

I've been using this combo for three days and so far I haven't experienced any flaking or unusual dryness — yippee!

Busy guy, that Ralph Lauren. Next week, he's launching a new fragrance at Bloomingdale's before rolling it out everywhere else in September. Notorious is an eau de parfum created by perfumier Olivier Gillotin that contains notes of sweet vanilla, black currant, bergamot, white peony, carnation, pink peppercorn, aged patchouli, iris, musk, orris and just wait. . . . chocolate cosmos (sadly, this is a burgundy flower, not a drink). Talk about a sweet and savory treat.

The fragrance was inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's classic films, and Laetitia Casta is the face of the ad campaign. Notorious has an overall sparkling, oriental glamorous essence and will be available in two eaux de parfum ($65-85), a body cream ($70), a body lotion ($45), and a shower gel ($40).

There's just something about the ingredients and the elegance of this square bottle that's giving me tummy flutters. And now I have an excuse to make a special trip over to Bloomingdale's — so you won't hear me complaining.

Prescriptives is getting ready to release its first ever, vitamin and gemstone-enriched loose powder called All Skins Mineral Makeup SPF 15 ($32.50). Available in July, this medium-coverage foundation contains titanium dioxide and zinc oxide to ensure that you are both UVA and UVB protected. It's also formulated with mattifying agents to absorb oil, sweat and stickiness during the humid summer months. Lastly, it's water-resistant and free of oils, talc and fragrances.

The gemstones (rose quartz, amethyst and calcite) also give the powder a little bit of sheen, which helps from making your skin look too dry. The powder itself is finely-milled and when you press down, it feels as soft as silk. I've tried it in Warm Light, which is too dark for my fair skin, but it's going to match perfectly after a few self-tanner applications.

Applying it is easy, too. Just tap a little bit into the cap, dip the new Round Buff Brush ($30) in the powder, give it a quick blow to remove any excess powder, and use a circular motion to apply it all over your face. Coming Soon: Magnifique Fragrance by Lancôme

"You are unique, you are Magnifique." That's the tagline for the new Lancôme fragrance that ambassador Anne Hathaway unveiled in Paris last week. The woodsy, floral perfume won't be available until September, but we're hoping to get a sneak peek at the ad campaign very soon. For now, I can fill you in on the ingredients and concept behind Magnifique.

Inside of the faceted ruby-red glass bottle you'll find a blend of spicy floral woods that, according to creators Olivier Cresp and Jacques Cavallier, is supposed to be an interpretation of the color red. Specifically, there are essences of saffron, cumin, rose, rose absolute, jasmine, sandalwood, and vetiver. Perhaps the most notable ingredient is the woodsy nagarmota essential oil. Cavallier says, "As far as I know, it's never been used before in feminine fragrance."

The Magnifique product range will include two eau de parfums ($65-$85), body lotion ($46) and shower gel ($46). Aside from the tagline, which is a bit Zoolander, it's as promising as it is intriguing.

Coming Soon: Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder

Looking for a way to fight the signs of aging just by wearing makeup? Later this month, Peter Thomas Roth will launch a pressed powder ($35) in its popular Un-Wrinkle range. Inside the shiny black compact is a sheer powder that contains a synthetic ingredient called SYN-AKE, which is also in some of Gwyneth Paltrow's favorite skin care. The ingredient acts as a muscle relaxer, similar to the paralyzing effects of snake venom. It also contains peptides and neuropeptides, two antiaging powerhouse ingredients.

The texture is extremely silky and smooth, and when it's on, you can barely feel it (which I love). Something worthy of mention is that the powder claims to be translucent, but I see a slight tint and a definite luminosity when I wear it.

The powder has a bit of product placement coming up. If you're planning on seeing the movie Get Smart (which comes out on June 20, as does the powder), look for a glimpse of Agent 99 (aka Anne Hathaway) holding Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder on the big screen.

Yesterday, I showed you what was coming for Fall, but in just a few short weeks, Nars Cosmetics is going to launch a stunning four-colored eye, three-colored lip, and two-colored cheek Bridal Palette ($65), which will be available exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue stores. The sleek, rubbery black case, looks just like their other famous, artist palettes, only this one is filled with nine of Nars' best-selling shades.

Coming Soon: Chanel Fall 2008 Collection

Good lord, when did it get to be time for Fall cosmetics yet? Summer hasn't even officially begun! Leave it to Chanel to be the first in line to set the gold standard with their launch — and I mean that in the most literal sense. The new collection was designed by Peter Philips (the new Chanel makeup designer) and in true Chanel form, he drew his inspiration from Coco's decadent apartment to create a gold-based range. I'm seriously wondering if metallics have made it into the Guinness Book of World Records for longest-running makeup trend.

The collection is filled with 20 new products, including two limited-edition gold items. The first is a powder highlighter called Gold Fever ($50), which can be worn on the face or the body and the second is a pale, shimmery gold nail polish called Gold Fiction ($30). Everything will be available in July.

Coming Soon: Wei East Golden Root Renewal Cream

Due out this July is the first SPF product from Wei East: Golden Root Renewal Cream SPF 15 ($37.50). Golden root is a vibrant red Chinese herb that has been used for ages to prevent visible signs of aging. Small quantities of golden root have been added to this cream to help promote the re-growth of dead skin cells, resulting in a new and smooth surface to your skin. This 'multitasking day cream' claims to firm, hydrate and make your skin look and feel more resilient.

The moisturizer also contains white tea (a strong antioxidant), reishi mushroom (an anti-inflammatory) and Licorice (to revitalize the skin). I've tried it once and am impressed with the way the SPF scent is masked with a cinnamony-herbal essence. Also, it has a thin, spreadable texture that goes on smooth and absorbs quickly.

I was thinking that it was definitely more of a moisturizer, but the impression I get from the packaging is that it's actually more like a sunscreen. Either way, I am really excited about being able to use such a great smelling product this summer that will protect my skin, improve its appearance and above all, it won't clog my pores.

New Product Alert: Bobbi Brown Yogi Bare Lip Balm

If you're looking for an excuse to drag your guy over to the makeup counter the next time you're out shopping together, I've got a great one for you. This July, tell him that New York Yankees Hall of Famer Yogi Berra is making an appearance over at Bobbi Brown. He may not believe you, but at best, he'll be intrigued.

Alright, so I've just realized that I'm sort-of encouraging you to tell a little white lie. It's not that I approve of lying, but think of it more as coercion. Bobbi Brown is about to release a new, clear and super-moisturizing lip balm named after her good friend Yogi Berra called Yogi Bare ($18). I received one yesterday to test drive and I've already put it on my bedside stand.

The packaging is the same as her tinted lip balms, which means they come in a discreet sleek black tube with a snug cap. It's really creamy, has no scent and once it touches your lips it stays there for a long time — no man (or woman) will want to miss out.

This is a terrific Father's Day gift or birthday gift for any of the special men in your life. Don't believe me? Let's just say that I didn't strike out with my smooth goodnight kiss last night. Seriously, why does baseball always resonate with the male sex?

This June, get excited for the latest limited-edition, travel-sized, teeth whitening kit launch from GoSmile called Summer Smile ($99). The 38-piece set includes two travel toothpastes, 20 B1 ampules, 15 touch-ups ampules (in two flavors) and a mini-toothbrush. The items come packaged in a sturdy, clear, zip-and-buckle pouch that I love because it can double as a travel bag when you use up the original products.

The whitening portion of the kit (B1 ampules) is a ten-day, twice-a-day regimen and the touch-ups are for post-whitening maintenance. The flavors are great; I especially love the peach touch-ups and the pineapple-flavored toothpaste.

I've been a fan of GoSmile for a little over a year now. I have fairly sensitive teeth, but I find that the products are mild enough for everyday use. I also feel they do a decent job at preserving a bright white color as long as you don't over-do eating too many stain-enhancing foods. I'll level with you — I've tested out many teeth whitening brands and I don't feel that any of the over-the-counter jobbies are as successful as a professional treatment, but as far as maintenance products are concerned, I think that GoSmile is high quality, gentle and effective.

Coming Soon: American Beauty 2008 Summer Bouquet Collection

This June, American Beauty Cosmetics will launch its Summer Bouquet color story. Much like Flirt! Cosmetics (both are owned by the same company), the brand typically launches a new product or two every few months and then creates a seasonal look by blending the new products in with the old.

The inspiration for Summer Bouquet is all about florals, specifically perky pink roses. The new product for Summer is a peachy pink powder blush called Nectar Blossom. The face of the campaign is Ashley Judd, as usual, and this particular photo also doubles as an ad for its new Beloved fragrance.

Coming Soon: Lola Cosmetics Prime Effects Pure Pigment Infusion

Last month I told you all about the new Firming Sensation Tinted Eye Balms from the Lola Cosmetics Summer 2008 Explore the Lola in You collection, and now I've become privy to the final launch in the line, called Prime Effect Pure Pigment Infusion ($26). What makes this product unique is that it embodies characteristics of a foundation, a primer, and a moisturizer.

It's very sheer, smooth, it blends easily and provides decent coverage. Also, because it leaves your skin with a little bit of sheen, it's a great product for attaining a dewy effect.

It's formulated with antioxidants, vitamins A, B, and C, buriti and maracuja fruit extracts to help stop moisture loss, and calendula to cool the skin and even out any blotchiness.

I find that it's definitely moisturizing, which makes it great for Summer when you don't want to apply a moisturizer and a base. The only drawback is that I wish it contained some SPF to really make it a one-stop product. Prime Effects Pure Pigment Infusion will be available online later this month in three shades: nude, bronze, and pearl.

Beauty Byte: Stila To Release Marchesa Palette

If you liked Marchesa's fall 2008 makeup, you'll love this news: WWD reports that Stila and the designers are teaming up to create a cosmetics collection this fall. The colors will reflect the runway look, with three eye shadow and eyeliner palettes ($40 each). Faux leather rosettes close the palettes, which will come in handy if the rosette trend is still going strong. In addition to the limited-edition palettes, three lipstick shades will be added to the permanent collection.

I'm excited about the colors, since everything on the runway was so beautiful and fresh. And considering the fact that Stila's eye shadows are $18 each, it's a decent value — just as long as the shadows themselves aren't as tiny as its latest palette pans. We already know that Stila just raised its prices, but I hope they're not making the shadow pans small again.

Coming Soon: Bumble and Bumble Creme de Coco Masque

The last launch from Bumble and Bumble was the malleable Spray de Mode Hairspray, and now they're getting ready to release a deep-conditioning treatment called Creme de Coco Masque. The mask was created as an extension to the popular Creme de Coco shampoo and conditioner, which is designed for dull, dry and color-treated hair. It's extremely thick and rich with a powerful coconut scent.

I've tried it once and found that the sweet blend of coconut oil, mango, shea butter, murumuru butter, avocado oil and plant extracts made the extra seven minutes in the shower feel like heaven (that's the recommended amount of time to let it set before rinsing). Afterwards, my hair felt softer and smoother (I definitely had less fly-aways and frizz), but I think I used too much, so it also left my hair more limp than I like.

I recommend this product to anyone with thick, coarse and/or curly hair who is looking to boost shine and re-hydrate. It's a terrific way to beef up your hair before the summer sun takes its toll. Tip: For extra conditioning, put on a plastic shower cap and apply heat. Your hair will be left smoother than ever.

Coming Soon: Flirt! Cosmetics Bright on Summer 2008 Collection

Every season Flirt! Cosmetics gathers a few old and a few new items to create a themed color story of the season. For Summer 2008, the look is called Bright On! This four-product combination includes a creamy eye shadow, a deep-violet mascara, a dark-purple eyeliner pencil (in my absolute favorite color, Purple Rain — it's so dark it looks almost black) and a brand-new lip balm with SPF 12 called Flirt-Tinis.

Flirt-Tinis are sheer, conditioning, limited-edition glossy balms that moisturize lips while providing a little bit of shimmer. I love that they glide on smooth without any of the tackiness of a goopy lip gloss. Including Fizzy Pink (the featured color), three additional shades will also be available in June online and in Kohl's department stores.

The inspiration for Bright On! comes from the pop color runway trend. These shades are vibrant, but they're also wearable since they can be layered to create anything from understated to bold. Cozy Up With Lancôme's Cabana Bronze Collection

Although Lancôme's Cabana Bronze collection isn't due in stores for a couple of weeks, the new Cherub Star Bronzer ($50) and Star Eye Shadow Palettes ($43) are already available online — goodie! Last Summer, they stunned us with the launch of a huge face and body-bronzer compact embellished with a bamboo and sunset image. This year they've decided to bring back the popular over-sized bronzer but instead of a glittery sunset, it features a more subdued cherub imprint.

Leave the glimmering golds and bronzes up to the new quad eye-shadow palettes. The first, Cabana Sunset, contains champagne, true gold, taupe, and deep brown shadows. Its counterpart, Cabana Sunrise, contains a pale shimmery shell pink, a sparkling mauve, a neutral taupe (which I also use on my brows) and a dark brownish-aubergine (which can double as a liner). I'm pretty hooked on Cabana Sunrise — I think it's all I'll need on my next tropical vacay. Which item interests you the most?

Coming Soon: OPI Mod About Brights Collection

The next OPI Collection does not fool around when it comes to color. The shades are spot-on renditions of the season's brights trend. Yellow? Check. Green? Check. Melon? Check. The colors are definitely not for the faint of heart.

There's nary a hint of shimmer or silliness in these colors; they are just pure, true, bright shades. The colors are more sheer than you'd expect, which is surprising considering how pigmented they look in the bottle. You definitely need two coats to achieve a solid color on your nail, but this helps them look subtle instead of severe, translating otherwise garish colors into something that's feminine and pretty.

Coming Soon: Victoria's Secret Crystal Lip Glimmers

This July, expect to be blinded by six new Crystal Lip Shimmers ($12) from Victoria's Secret. The sweet-smelling (think cherry Bonne Belle lip balms) glosses are packed with serious amounts of glitter. They have a featherweight texture and provide a stellar, disco ball shine. The colors have lusty names like Devour and Hunger — and I'm totally hooked on the pretty peachy coral color called Tasty.

They get my vote because they're so sheer and layer-able. I'm not sure what's with the sugary-ness in all things Victoria's Secret, but I'm becoming quite interested in researching the sales of flavored vs. non-flavored cosmetics. Coming Soon: Jo Malone Goes Cuckoo For Kohdo Wood

If you're already brainstorming Mother's Day gift ideas, you'll be delighted to hear that Jo Malone is launching a limited-edition double collection next week called Kohdo Wood. The fragrances were inspired by Khodo, a Japanese incense ceremony.

The first fragrance, Lotus Blossom & Water Lily, is intended for daytime and contains a stimulating and energizing blend of grapefruit, bergamot, mandarin, bamboo, lotus blossom, freesia, honeysuckle, water lily, jasmine, aloeswood, musk, amber, guaiac wood and sandalwood. The second scent, Dark Amber & Ginger Lily, is a calming, sexy fragrance that is intended more for evening wear. It contains black cardamom, pink pepper, ginger, jasmine, lily, rose, orchid, amber, pepperwood, leather, patchouli, sandalwood and kyara incense accord.

In true Jo Malone blending form, the fragrances can be worn alone or layered on top of each other (which makes a great day to night transition). The product range includes two colognes ($50-$95), bath oil ($100) and a candle ($65). I've yet to try them, but I am particularly interested in the daytime fragrance, as grapefruit is a weakness of mine. As for the naughty night scent, I know that leather is a big trend in the perfume world right now, but I'm just not a fan. How about you — which scent (if either) are you more eager to smell?

Coming Soon: MAC Naughty Nauticals Collection

Ahoy! Avast! Yarrrrr. Barnacle Bella has some ship-shape information for you landlubbers. Sorry for the corniness, but I had to get the puns out of the way so that I can tell you about MAC's forthcoming color collection, Naughty Nauticals, without making them throughout the post.

Launching on May 1, the seasonal collection features intense, sea-inspired hues. Realistically, most of us aren't going to walk around with bright blue eye shadow, but if you can look beyond some of the more out-there shades, there's something here for everybody. I'm particularly looking forward to trying the eye shadow in Shore Leave (pale frosty cream) and the Lustreglass lip glosses; those would look great for work, whether you toil away in an office or you sell sea shells by the sea shore.

Coming Soon: Bahama Mama Bronzer From the Balm

The Balm is getting ready to launch a new matte bronzer called Bahama Mama ($1 in May. I've got pretty pale skin naturally, so this bronzer is great. It's sheer and it has a soft, gentle bronzing effect, which makes for a fabulous, natural-looking transition product before I have any trace of a summertime (real or fake) tan.

I love that there is no shimmer to it and it doesn't make my face look dirty or muddy like other matte bronzers can. Also, if you do begin to build a tan, it can always be layered for a deepened effect. It's formulated without parabens, there's a giant mirror on the inside for portable and easy bronzing. Plus, it looks amazing combined with Hot Mama, a universally flattering orgasm-colored blush, for a warm, beachy glow.

New Product Alert: Giorgio Armani Face Fabric Foundation

Giorgio Armani, the creator of the renowned Luminous Silk Foundation, has just released a new featherweight, semimatte base called Face Fabric ($45). It has been designed for a slightly younger demographic since the consistency is lighter and the finish is more sheer (which also makes it perfect for Spring and Summer weather).

The concept behind the product is that the foundation is intended to fluidly glide over your skin to create a barely-there veil of color. Its translucent base is enhanced with a nude pigment that blends easily and creates a very natural-looking, delicate, and glowy effect.

Due out in stores this May, the foundation is already available online in nine colors. I've tried it and I absolutely love the way it feels. I'm not a huge fan of heavy everyday foundation, so this is perfect if you are looking for just enough coverage to even out your skin tone and hide splotchy redness. That being said, if you're looking to conceal more, you'll want to stick with the original Luminous Silk Foundation. The way I see it, you can't go wrong either way.

Coming Soon: Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Effects Lipstick

Usually when we see Catherine Zeta-Jones in her Elizabeth Arden ad campaigns, she's looking glamorous and classic. Not so with this new promotional photo for the brand's Color Intrigue Effects Lipstick ($19.50). Catherine looks hypermodern, runway ready, and a little bit like Victoria Beckham (to me, anyway).

So aside from this out-of-the-ordinary photo, what's different about the lipstick? Break out your old chemistry notes: It contains three esters, which provide shine and emollient properties. It also contains vitamins A, C, E, and aloe, so it won't dry out your lips. The 18 shades are all shiny, but they have different effects: creams, shimmers, and pearls.

The shades are launching online first (right now there are a few available) and hit counters in May. FYI: Catherine's favorite color is Cranberry Cream, and when I post a followup review of the lipsticks, I'll let you know which one I like best, too.

Coming Soon: Daria Werbowy for Lancôme

As I reported earlier, model Daria Werbowy has created a three-piece makeup collection for Lancôme. But unlike some famous collaborations, this one has a few cool details that make it stand out. First, Daria didn't just sit around choosing pre-made suggestions for color. Instead, she went to Lancôme's laboratory and mixed the pigments herself. Secondly, proceeds from the collection go to a great cause: Centro Espacial Vik Muniz, a children’s art center in Rio de Janeiro.

The three-piece collection launches at Sephora this month, but I have a sneak preview of the collection. Maybe it's because my coloring is similar to Daria's, but I'm excited about it. The chestnut browns of the eye shadow quad ($42) are great for blue-eyed women, and both the lip gloss ($24) and lipstick ($26) are spot-on for the season's bare-faced trend. I haven't been able to play around with these yet — they're not in stores at this point, after all! — but I'll keep you posted on any other news.
