What a great shade of purple in that asymmetrical dress! I just wish Blake had gone a little bit brighter with her makeup to really play it up. She chose some paler colors, but think of how cool some hot pink gloss might have been. Her loosely pulled back twisty ponytail is playful, and it shows off those amazing blonde highlights. The "Inner V" of your eye isn't a technical term, it's a makeup-application one that refers to the inner corners of your eyes. By adding a highlighter or brightener to this area (see the white shimmery shadow that creates a v-shape on Blake Lively's eyes), you can really make your eyes stand out.

Learning how to play up your inner v is easy. Simply use a gold, pink, white or cream highlighter, eye shadow or liner pencil and draw a horizontal V along the top to the bottom of the inner corner of your eye. Blend the product with your fingers and extend the color just under your lower lash line. This trick works wonders with all eye shapes, and it's especially effective when you are trying to give close-set eyes more balance.

Last night's finale of Gossip Girl was everything I had hoped — well, besides Serena and Dan's sad breakup (oops, don't want to spoil too much). Think they'll stay separated all Summer long? I don't, but I'm pretty much a hopeless romantic — kinda like Chuck!

Once again, Gossip Girl doesn't disappoint. The first half of the show was filled with a cat-and-mouse chase of Dan trying to find Serena, but the last half was where all of the real drama unfolded. I can't wait to see what happens with Nate and V's cute courtship, if there will be more hot kissing from Lily and Rufus, and of course if Sarah (er, Georgina) gets busted by the gang in Queens.

Only on the Upper East Side would a mother be able to watch her daughter's sex tape in the afternoon and by the evening have it all sorted out. Gotta love dramatic television. Last night at the fancy 2008 Costume Institute Gala in New York City, the women arrived wearing fabulous gowns adorned with sensational accessories. Some of their beauty looks were favorable, and some left little to be desired. One of the trends I noticed was the semi-laid-back approach to hair. Don't get me wrong, I am sure every strand was supposed to look like that, but there was a lot more looseness as a collective than I've ever noticed at a red-carpet event. New Product Alert: Crème de la Mer Cosmetics

Relatively new to La Mer are its three first-ever cosmetic products. The product with heaviest coverage, The Treatment Crème Foundation SPF 15, is intended for dry skin. The Treatment Fluid Foundation SPF 15, a lighter version of the crème foundation, is meant for for normal to oily skin. Lastly, The Powder has been created with a sheer veil finish to wear alone or to set either of the foundations.

All of the items contain the same antiaging ingredients as the crème, yet also provide coverage to produce a flawless finish! I was really excited to learn about these new products because like most people, I only knew about their skincare.

Also, La Mer has some juicy gossip for you. Apparently the makeup artist for Blake Lively and Leighton Meester, the gorgeous stars of Gossip Girl also use these products on set! I can't wait to try them — are you interested in checking them out, too?
