Katie Holmes swooped Suri in her arms and kissed her head on the way home after a long day out. These days Katie usually exudes a level of glamour, but this time even more so with her dramatic makeup. Earlier this week there were rumors that Katie will be the face of Miu Miu for Spring 2009 and here she is all dolled up for what seems like a photo shoot yesterday.

Katie carried her number one toddler, Suri out shopping and then into the All My Sons theater in NYC yesterday. The little miss is finally complementing her stylish wardrobe with some cold weather gear, and looked precious all snuggled up in her furry hooded jacket. It's been a big week for Suri, who also scored the top honors on Forbes' list of Hollywood's hottest tots, but hopefully she didn't steal too much thunder away from her parents on their second wedding anniversary.

Plaid shirts (aka tartan) are all the rage this Autumn/Winter. They're warm, comfortable and they look terrific with skinny jeans or cords. Celebrities such as Lauren Conrad from MTV's hit show The Hills has been spotted in three different plaid tops this season alone. 
Family togetherness or time apart? When it comes to major milestones like anniversaries and birthdays, some moms and pops like to take time away from their kids and reconnect with one another. Others find it more festive to spend the day with those that have grown out of their relationship.

Today marks the second anniversary of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes's big wedding in Italy. The couple decided to celebrate by taking a break from NYC and spending Monday night in LA with Connor, Isabella, and Suri. Katie Holmes took advantage of some downtime yesterday, grabbing coffee and a newspaper from Starbucks before attending a yoga class with a friend. After a quick wardrobe change at her NYC apartment, Katie was on the move again before her next performance of All My Sons. Looks like there wasn't any time for a stroll or outdoor playdate with Suri during Katie's busy afternoon, even the most dedicated mother needs to focus on herself every once in a while.

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise had more mother-daughter time in NYC yesterday, heading to Union Square for time in the park and farmers market. Suri looked happy to be enjoying the outdoors after their rainy Wednesday. She also got in some special time playing with her teddy bear, just part of her stuffed animal collection.

Katie and Suri weren't about to let a little rain ruin their shopping trip in NYC yesterday. Suri was precious holding her ladybug umbrella all by herself after hitting Baby Gap for some new additions to her already fabulous wardrobe. Just in case her new gifts weren't enough to cheer sweet Suri, Katie was right there with plenty of kisses and hugs to go around.

Katie Holmes had her arms full of a striped Suri, along with her many accessories, on a walk around NYC yesterday. Now that it's getting dark earlier, along with dropping temperatures, those fun trips to Central Park might be few and far between for the Cruise ladies. We know how much Suri loves those swings, but she's no stranger to the cold weather activities thanks to their Winter house up in Telluride.
