I can't remember when I first heard about the idea of using toothpaste as a spot treatment on pimples, but I definitely started doing it right away. But is that actually a good idea? This quiz will test your knowledge of beauty fact and myth.

I would argue that the old time white toothpastes ARE OK in a pinch. As well, I would argue that while applying moisturizer in an upward motion does not prevent wrinkles, the wording "While tugging on your face is inadvisable" implies that tugging MIGHT contribute to early wrinkle form-age. So I think I should get 2 more right. =p

I know right?! I always heard use the white toothpaste, never the gels, and am almost certain I got that advice from beauty mags anyway.
Also, you NEVER want to pull downwards on your face, otherwise the stitching may come undone and your whole face will slide off. Scary, I know, but true. 100%.

All right except for the toothpaste one... I've heard that SO many times, I totally believed it to be true. Oh well, nothing beats my trusty tube of Clearasil for spot treatment anyway.

Oh and I've heard of cases where drinking too much carrot juice shows up on your skin. I love the stuff and always think about that when I'm drinking it.

And true or not, I always find myself applying my eye cream inwards toward my nose, as opposed to outwards toward my temples... cause then I'd be tugging at my skin toward the direction that wrinkles form. lol. I'm pretty sure I read it on a leaflet for a Chanel eye cream - they had a diagram on how to properly apply creams to your face. If Chanel says it, it MUST be true! lol. Jk, but I do it anyway, it's almoust subconscious now.
