Can A Lip Gloss Help You Lose Weight?

This is Too Faced FUZE Slenderize Guilt-Free Lip Gloss ($18.50). Available in three shiny shades, it's infused with the "appetite-curbing, energy-boasting ingredients" of FUZE, a weight-loss drink. And yes, it promises to make you thinner.

It should go without saying that my BS sensors are going haywire on this one. While the colors seem nice enough, the idea of losing weight through lip gloss alone is silly. It's just not going to happen, my friends. (Not without eating right and staying fit, anyway.) Don't fall for this marketing ploy—and for that matter, don't fall for the idea that you need to be thin to be beautiful. If you can't live without the three colors of this gloss, go ahead and try it out. But if you think it'll make you slim down, think again.

I like Too Faced products but that's a little over the top. But I suppose there's people out there who'll try it thinking they'll be 50 pounds lighter in a month.

I really think the marketing team has run out of ideas and are grasping at some straws here.

Hahaha it's a silly idea - pretty much the only way it does promote weight loss is that you won't eat for fear of messing up your lipgloss Sticking out tongue But the formula is really nice - it's not sticky, and it's very smooth (my hair doesn't even stick to it!), and although the smell is nice, it doesn't taste of anything and it doesn't really have any color (at least the pink one).

This is awesome! I wish every lip gloss did that! It seems though that such a small amount wouldn't have that much effect.

Note how it comes out around the holiday season.

It seems like a huge marketing ploy to me.

I got this lip gloss for Xmas (I wanted it though), not that I think its gonna work, it just looked fun and I love Too Faced...so far I love it but I doubt it has any craving control powers other than psychosomatic...Joey NY has one like it too.

haha your BS sensors are going haywire...so are mine. Even if it does curb your appetite, it won't make you lose weight. You need to eat right and excercise to shed those pounds.

I think the only way this would work is if you were so paranoid about messing up your lip gloss that you just didn't eat or drink anything...

yeah, i think it's total BS- BUT, jokes aside, if you are trying to stick to a diet and you know you're going someplace where you'll be tempted to snack- try red lipstick. I'm always so paranoid about ruining it that it's my first thought- and once you resist that initial urge to have a giant cookie or a slice of birthday cake, you can usually control yourself. I'm not saying, wear lipstick all the time and never eat, but if you know that there will be a temptation and you really want to stay on your HEALTHY kick, give it a try. Wear red, skip the cookie, go home and have some fruit.

mmmm... I love the Fuze drinks but I'm not sure that they would really help weight loss when in a lip gloss. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't, actually. I do, however, like 'BS sensors'. Almost as good as 'gaydar'.
