Trend Alert: Bright Pink Lips

The last time we saw bright pink lips like this was on Elisha Cuthbert and before that it was at the 2007 Spring Diane von Furstenberg Fashion Show. Now, two gorgeous A-list ladies are looking fierce in fuchsia!

Natalie Portman matched her dress and her lips at the Mr. Magorium Wonder Emporium premiere, while Beyoncé sported a shiny pink pout at an autograph signing in Seoul, Korea. I love that stars are starting to experiment with color. How do you feel about this bright pink lip trend? Here are a couple of product suggestions for those of you who are willing to play with pink.

Dior Rouge Dior Replenishing Lipcolor in devilish pink ($26) is a long-wearing lipstick that provides full coverage, moisture, and unrivaled shine thanks to its new Color Reveal Complex. If you are looking for a rich pink to pamper your pout, this is a pretty great product!

Sephora Lip Attitude — Chic in Fuchsia Vamp 10 ($12) is a moist and creamy lip color without any shimmer (kind of like Beyoncé's) but with tons of shine — think liquid lip color in a tube. The color stays semiglossy and lasts long!

Neither one looks pink to me. The first, Dior, looks bright red. (It even says "Rouge".) The other says that it's a fuschia color, which is more of an eye-exploding pinkish purple than a vivid pink. I, personally, would call it magenta. Either way, I don't think it's very attractive.

But aside from a nice, symmetrical face, beauty is what you think it is, and it never stays the same for long. Some say a pointy head is beautiful. Some cultures think fat people are beautiful (it means you're wealthy and have plenty to eat.) A long time ago, people who were milky white were beautiful because it meant they didn't have to work in the fields. Now, people with a tan are beautiful because they can afford to take time to lie in the sun.

I don't like it, but that's just a my personal opinion.

I like the way Natalie left all her other makeup pretty neutral & just kept the focus on her mouth. Beyonce's wearing way too much base/powder and a smoky eye. It make's her look a bit clownish.

nice trend but it's a bit hard to wear the right shade for anyone's lip lol, right?

Bright pink lips can be fun, but it's definitely a place to tread lightly...

Natalie looks pretty, but I'd rather see such a bold lip paired with a non-matching top.

I like the way Beyonce teamed the bright lip with relatively tame neutrals so that her lippie provides a pop of color for her overall look. If a full-body shot reveals hot pink pants, I rescind my statement! Eye-wink

I'm not really a big fan of hot pink lips - if you can pull it off, go for it, but most people can't. It just looks silly and unnatural; it's not cute (unless it's a five-year-old who's playing with her mother's makeup and manages to get it everywhere), and it's not sexy like a red lip would be.

That said, I think Natalie pulls it off very well. Beyoncé just about passes the test. But I think that we'll be seeing a lot of clownish imitations very soon... joy.

I think Natalie is adorable and Beyonce is just ick. Beyonce and Jessica Simpson are in my pool of undesirables.

I think it looked better on Beyonce than it did on Natalie. Beyonce's dark skin looks nice with the pink, but Natalie just looks overwhelmed by the pink.

Sorry, I don't like the trend. I don't like it when lipcolor has life of its own. JMHO.

This color looks good on Natalie and Beyonce, but I don't think it would look good on me!
