I usually go for the sheer/natural nail polish colors. But since I'm absolutely obsessed with purples at the moment, I think I'll pick up a purple/violet nail polish to indulge in my obsession. (Purple & violet seem to be the colors for the fall..)

I refuse to think of Heidi Montag as a trendsetter. I'll stick with black, thanks.

I was so excited. I was at Walmart the other day and I found a shade of purple polish that looked a lot like the Essie one except it was shimmery. It was only $1 too.

I haven't worn it yet, but I think I want to paint my toenails that color today.

I nearly always wear purple nail polish if I do wear it. Rimmel does some fab colours. So, I'm ahead of the Hills!

I don't care what Heidi does, but as far as bright colored nail polish bright fuchsia and violet are the craziest I go, and I love the looks of it with my skintone.

So not to sound like a hater, but because of Miss Montag I may throw the purple nail polish trend to the wayside. I started wearing purple nail polish early spring/ summer when I saw Chanel came out with it and I found it the only neon trend I was brave enough to wear on my fingers. It'll be sad having to give it up, I got so many compliments. :-*(

Love the polish but that picture of her is kinda pervie! LOL

I don't know why some people are NOT going to wear the polish because of her? So what if she does? Why not do what YOU like! Novel thought.

purple is my favorite color

purple was my favorite color nail polish 6 years ago ... so much so that my mom and sis would make fun of me for not being adventurous enough to try another color when we went to the salon ... so i don't wear it anymore.

i did try to twist it up by wearing dark purple, light purple, purple sheers, purple frost, purple shimmer, irridescent purples ... so yeh, it was pretty ridiclous. it just looks so good with my skin tone and I LOVE PURPLE!!!!!!! LOL

Wow - I'm a trendsetter, my wedding was all shades of purple 25 years ago and I've been wearing purple nails ever since.

PS - Heidi is so overrated anything she does makes me wanna stop doing it.

I absolutely LOVE purple polish! Purple is my favorite color and Essie's Bermuda Shorts is my favorite polish shade of the summer. I'd love to pick up a violet similar to that Chanel one too. So pretty.

I love this essie color, i got it at Ulta when they first came out.

I was so excited to get that Essie polish but I was underwhelmed. It's a lot darker and less fun than the bottle lets on, and it's kind of more magenta than purple.

I do love purple nails, but I was wearing Essie's Looking For Love from a few collections ago that I picked up at Ulta, and I liked it much better. After four coats, it was light and slightly shimmery but still bright and purple enough. I would recommend that over Bermuda Shorts.

I guess I'm just not cool because Heidi Montag is the antithesis of style,fashion,cool,class,etc. etc. etc. Doesn't mean I won't use purple nail polish. It just means Heidi is disgusting.

I'm really not a fan of Heidi, but I like purple nail polish. She sure isn't the only person wearing it these days and I'm definitely not going to stop wearing it just because of this photo.

I purchased the neon collection from Essie. Some of the colours are a little hard to work with but the final result makes it worth it.

I might go looking for one of these — I tried buying a purple polish a couple of weeks ago (who knew I was trendy??) but the actual color is way more magenta than what I was going for.
