Product Review: La Mer The Eye Balm

I've already tried the La Mer Eye Concentrate, but a few weeks ago, I learned about The Eye Balm ($130) and decided to test it out. What I really liked is that it is especially suited for younger skin. It's not nearly as heavy or greasy, it spreads easily and it absorbs almost immediately.

Also, it feels slightly cooling and it has a lighter, almost cleaner version of that well known La Mer smell, which I find interesting since it actually contains triple the concentration of their famous miracle broth.

After using for about a week, I've noticed that the skin around my eyes is softer, and less red. This is because it contains Brazilian Malachite, which not only makes your eyes brighter (it has an illuminating quality), but it also has a light green tint to help dilute the redness — genius! I realize that it's going to take longer than a week to see any dramatic results, but so far, I like what I see. If only we could do something to adjust the cost.

Never wanted to use this brand, too pricey. I know of products that are amazing and not this insane.

Sounds fabulous! I really am a big fan of Creme de La Mer and I'm sure I'd like this too.

I really don't get the hype around this brand, the only thing I really know about it is that it was one of Oprah's favorites one year. I'm sure there are other products that work just as well for probably half the price (or less!) of this one.

I really, really, really want to try this stuff just to see if it's as good as everyone says, but I can't afford to drop $130 on just eye cream. I use an eye cream from Mario Badescu for only $18 and it works fine, but I cringe at that price every time I order. Sigh. I guess I'll just have to experience how great it is from everyone's stories, ha.

It sounds very good, but La Mer products are very expensive. Although it seems to have good qualities, I wouldn't buy it.

They're Cruelty-Free too! This is going to be the products I use when I become really rich. The detailed plan on getting super rich is still in the works, though. Eye-wink

I wish I could afford La Mer. If all of Hollywood uses it it must be pretty good.
