OPI obviously thinks it's a great idea they have matching lipsticks to a lot of there polishes. Matchy Matchy is kind of an old fashion look e.g. shoes, belt, purse matching etc and tends to make the wearer look older than she is!

I never match mine. My polish is usually red, and I don't really do red lips.

they dont always go together, or look as nice! like, i think i look really good in brownish/gold lipstick, but that color wouldnt look as nice on my nails as say, a baby pink or even a dark maroonish shade. im too scared to try funky colors lol

Nah, I never wear nail polish, I'm allergic to the chemical in it. And lipstick I only wear on special occasions. Usually I sport lip gloss.

Well, I'm wearing China Glaze's For Audrey blue nail polish. I think the matching lipstick is a little difficult to come by! ;D

I actually prefer to clash as a general rule as I don't like being too co-ordinated. If I was wearing orange lippie I'd probably go for a bright pink nail but I guess this could look cool on the right person!

I think matching things too much can be boring and it reminds too much of Paris Hilton and her excessively matchy matchy outfits.

retro bunny - i have that shade of polish and i agree about it being weird on the lips! it's a gorgeous color, but definitely not for lipstick. in general, i think nail polish can be more fun, so as long as it "goes" with the outfit as a whole, I rock it. Matching is not necessary. My current pedicure color is yellow, need to paint my fingers.

I wear black nail polish a lot and I don't want black lips. I like lip glosses or balms clear or with a hint of color.

I rarely see girls that wear nail polish at my college. I have quite the make-up routine and I feel it would be over the top to also have nail polish on, definitely when it is the same color as my lipstick! I just like to have clean nails and having unpolished nails is like freedom =) I hate it when the polish wears off and becomes messy and I hate being careful in order to prevent any damage. *sigh* I really could write an essay on why I don't wear nail polish! And on why I'm totally addicted to lipstick! =)

Hmm, I guess I always do... but that's because I wear clear lip gloss, and I stopped wearing nail polish several months ago, so I generally just keep a clear layer of topcoat on them... so clear and clear.

Yes, Southern mothers do teach their daughters to match everything. Being from Texas I forget that everyone doesn't do this. By age 7 I could match my shoes, hair accessories, and jewelry to my outfit of choice. Since I've become teenager I've been trying new things and if I don't match my mom looks at me weird lol. I don't really match my nail polish and lip gloss though.

I don't. I compliment my lipstick to my make up. Usually my nails are pink & white acrylics so it would be hard to match that.

Matching's not for me. At present I am wearing black nail polish and
a caramel colored/flavored lipgloss. (yeah i know its a little juvenile, but it suits me)

am having summery white nail polish so I don't think I can match that on my lips
